Distinguished Orientation Seminar in English Held in Huali International School

On the morning of September 6th, the International School (IS) orientation for 2022 freshmen was held in the IS lecture hall. The invited guests, Admission Division Chief Xiaoyuan Liu, Scientific Division Chief Youhong Li, Student Division Chief Cheng Luo, all faculty and staff members attended this event which was hosted by Ms. Xiaoyu Lai in English.

The Dean of IS, PhD and post-doctorate of UCC-Ireland holder and the provincial distinguished professor Shuze Tang, gave a seminar “3W for IS

Freshmen” in English. He inspired students to think and answer why they choose IS, what they want and what they should do in college years, and how they achieve their goals. He encouraged students to chase their dreams, love their choices, and do best by introducing his international experiences in studying and working. Prof. Tang emphasized the value of time as well as the internationalization when students wanted to make academic achievement***oth in majors and English levels. The faculty of IS would be extended to help students especially the team of foreign teachers. He also described his ideal IS He also described his ideal IS as an English-immersion environment with high-leveled talents gathering. He believed that the IS could become a unique international educational platform brand of China non-governmental universities.

Admission Division Chief Xiaoyuan Liu felt thrilled to participate such a full-English orientation and spoke highly of it. She felt the new start of IS and wished freshmen could take advantages of such great platform to develop their strengths and talents.

Scientific Research Division Chief Youhong Li felt honored to be invited and encouraged students to participate in scientific research and competitions actively and confidently. Considering the achievements and honors in the past years, he believed our IS students have great potentials to make progress.
